Church & Dwight Co. Inc.’s (NYSE: CHD) purchase of gummy-vitamin maker Avid Health Inc. has closed.

Church & Dwight, which makes personal care and household products, including Arm & Hammer brand items, paid $650 million. Of that, $400 million was financed with senior notes. 

Vancouver, Wash.-based Avid Health makes Vitafusion vitamins for adults and L’il Critters vitamins for children.

The deal was announced Aug. 21
