Calpine Corp. (NYSE: CPN) will purchase an 800-megawatt power plant owned by Bosque Power Co. LLC for $432 million.

The plant is located in Bosque County, Texas, and will be named the Calpine Bosque Energy Center.

Houston-based Calpine is an independent power producer with 93 power-generation plants.

Bosque Power Co. is based in Aquilla, Texas.
