Bodycote plc (LSE: BOY), which provides thermal processing services, has acquired Carolina Commercial Heat Treating for $68 million.

The company was bought from Greenville, S.C.-based Bluewater Thermal Solutions LLC. The deal was announced Oct. 16 and includes seven U.S. facilities that provide thermal processing for steel, stainless steel, cast irons and other metals.

Sales to aerospace and energy markets make up about 15 percent of sales and sales to the car and light truck sectors represent about 23 percent of sales.

Bodycote, based in Macclesfield, U.K., offers heat treatment, metal joining, surface technology and hot isostatic pressing services.
