Autodesk Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK) agreed to buy a San Francisco software firm developed by Pramati Technologies for an undisclosed price.

Pramati, based in Andhra Pradesh, India, incubates and launches technology companies out of its offices in Hyderabad and Mountain View, Calif.

The Oct. 4 sale of Qontex to Autodesk comes about a month after the San Rafael, Calif. firm acquired Inforbix LLC, a Brookline, Mass.-based developer of data application software. Terms were not disclosed.

Autodesk is known for its 3D design, engineering and entertainment software.
