Private equity firm Thoma Bravo LLC has agreed to acquire Empirix Inc., a provider of mobile network testing and monitoring services, for an undisclosed price.

Empirix offers analytic services to mobile communication operators, banks, insurance and healthcare companies and assists in forecasting customer experience. The Billerica, Mass.-based company reported 22 percent year-over-year revenue growth in 2012.

BMO Capital Markets advised the sale process.

Thoma Bravo has been acquisitive throughout 2013. In August, the Chicago-based firm closed a $395 million deal for Keynote Systems Inc., a San Mateo, Calif., provider of cloud-based tools for testing mobile applications and websites.

In July, Thoma Bravo purchased Intuit Inc.’s (Nasdaq: INTU) financial services division for about $1.03 billion.
