Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) is buying two flight simulation and aircraft training product companies: Mechtronix Inc. and Opinicus Corp.

Mechtronix, headquartered in Montreal, offers a line of simulation products as well as classroom training services used by aviation markets and airlines.

Lutz, Fla.-based Opinicus also provides flight simulators to airline companies and the U.S. military. Terms of both deals were undisclosed.

Textron, headquartered in Providence, R.I., provides services to the aircraft, defense, industrial and finance sectors. The company’s brands include Bell Helicopter, Cessna Aircraft Co., Jacobsen, Kautex, Lycoming, E-Z-Go, Greenlee and Textron Systems.

Other recent aerospace deals include TriMas Corp.’s (Nasdaq: TRS) deal for Mac Fasteners Inc., which makes aerospace fasteners for equipment manufacturers, and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. LP’s (NYSE: KKR) $200  million investment in Weststar Aviation Services Sdn Bhd.
