Software training and online tutorial video provider Lynda.com has acquired Video2brain GmbH, a European online-video training company.

Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Graz, Austria-based Video2brain specializes in German, French, Spanish and English-language courses. The company has about 1,700 courses and 400,000 subscribers.

Lynda got a $103 million equity investment in January from venture capital firm Accel Partners and private equity firm Spectrum Equity. The company expects the deal to allow it to expand in emerging markets that demand multi-lingual content.

Lynda, headquartered in Carpinteria, Calif., provides software, technology, creative and business training two more than 2 million people through its library of 87,000 videos. It was founded in 1995 by teacher and author Lynda Weinman (pictured).
