Facebook Inc. (Nasdaq: FB) is buying the Atlas Advertiser Suite from Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT).

Atlas provides campaign management and measurement for marketers and agencies.

Facebook plans to scale Atlas’ back-end measurement systems and enhance its advertiser tools suite. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Microsoft initially invested in Facebook in 2007 when it bought a 1.6 percent share for $240 million. Facebook generally focuses on acquiring small start up companies. For more on the company's acquisition strategy, see "Facebook Taps VC-Backed Startups."
