Symphony Technology Group has purchased MDdatacor from Noridian Mutual Insurance Co.

Alpharetta, Ga.-based MDdatacor provides health care data integration and analytics services to payers and providers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

MDdatacor will be combined with other Symphony assets to form Symphony Performance Health, a portfolio company that will provide analytics and technology services to the health care sector.

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Symphony focuses on companies at the intersection of software and analytics, and has been aggressively pursuing targets in the health care information and analytics sector, the company says. The firm also owns Symphony Health Solutions, which provides patient and physician information, and Evidera, which analyzes effectiveness of health treatments.

The seller, Noridion, provides technology and administrative services for Medicare, Medicaid and insurance exchanges.

Other recent health care technology deals include WestView Capital Partners' investment in Xtend Healthcare LLC, and United Recovery Systems purchase of Array Group.
