Mergers & Acquisitions names 2022 Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A, including Stout’s Tricia Salinero.

Describe a recent dealmaking accomplishment.

I was very fortunate to lead the sale of Silicon Valley startup, Cuberg, to Northvolt. Northvolt is a European supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. Founded to enable the European transition to a decarbonized future, Northvolt has made swift progress on its mission to deliver the world’s greenest lithium-ion battery with a minimal CO2 footprint.

Among Northvolt industrial partners and customers are ABB, BMW Group, Scania, Siemens, Vattenfall, Vestas and the Volkswagen Group. Northvolt plans to accelerate the commercialization and adoption of Cuberg’s lithium metal technology.

The project involved coordinating with the Cuberg shareholders and walking through the CFIUS process with a buyer undergoing their own multi-billion funding round.

I specialize in M&A for technology companies including buyside, sellside and private placement engagements. I have completed more than 100 technology mergers and acquisitions valued at $4 billion, and represented companies that sold to Google, Microsoft, Red Hat, Oracle, Blackbaud, Northvolt, Honda and Social Capital.

I started my career as the only woman in the room in most business meetings, spent my 30s and 40s as a working mom of two boys, juggling pitch meetings with homework projects, and found that some of my most meaningful conversations have been with other women in M&A – sharing deal strategies, battle stories, mental health tips, resumes, and pictures of our families, puppies and travel.

Find your tribe and share your stories – knowing that I might be the only woman in a meeting, but that I was never alone, made all the difference.
