Footwear group Steve Madden (Nasdaq: SHOO) has acquired Dolce Vita Holdings Inc. for $60.3 million.

Dolce Vita, headquartered in New York, sells branded and private label footwear, as well as clothes and accessories. The company's brands include Dolce Vita, DV by Dolce Vita, DV8 and J.D. Fisk. The company had net sales of about $111 million in 2013.

The deal follows Long Island City, New York-based Steve Madden's March acquisition of high-end footwear brand Brian Atwood

Steve Madden also owns the Steve Madden, Steven by Steve Madden, Madden Girl, Freebird by Steve, Stevies, Betsey Johnson, Betseyville, B Brian Atwood, Report Signature, Report, Big Buddha, Wild Pair, Cejor and Mad Love brands. The company has about 124 retail stores.

Other recent consumer goods transactions include DSW Inc.'s (NYSE: DSW) purchase of a stake in Town Shoes for about $62 million, and Xcel Brands Inc.'s acquisition of jewelry brand Judith Ripka in April for $22.5 million.
