SSE plc is buying a wind farm project in Scotland from Renewable Energy Systems Group. 

The company plans to start construction on the Dunmaglass wind farm project in late 2013 and finish in early 2016. SSE expects to invest about $304 million, which includes the acquisition price, development and capital costs.

SSE, headquartered in Perth, England, is an electricity and gas company that operates in the U.K. and Ireland. The company owns gas and coal-fired power stations, wind farms, as well as gas and electricity distribution networks and gas storage facilities.

Hertfordshire, England-based Renewable Energy develops and installs onshore and offshore wind farms, as well as solar panels.
