Spectral Capital Corp. has purchased a minority stake in data analytics company Kontexto.

Kontexto, founded in 2009, develops software that acquires, analyses and depicts data for companies and institutions. The company’s products include analysis programs publishflow and monitr.

The company’s customers include publishing companies Post Media Network, The Guardian, Getty Images, Abu Dhabi Media, Bell Media and The Daily Mail. Kontexto is based in Ottowa, Canada.

Spectral, a Seattle investment company, bought an eight percent stake in Kontexto. The buyer focuses on tech companies with patentable technologies. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
