Shiloh Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: SHLO) has acquired Contech Castings LLC from Revstone Industries LLC.

Southfield, Mich.-based Contech designs and manufactures lightweight die cast components for the automotive industry. The company makes aluminum racks and pinion holdings, structural body parts, steering column components, axle carriers, suspension components and transmission parts.

Shiloh, headquartered in Valley City, Ohio, makes modular assemblies, casting and other products for the automotive industry.

Lexington, Ky.-based Revstone manufactures components used by the transportation and heavy truck industries.

Angle Advisors provided financial advice to Contech and Revstone on the deal.

The transaction comes during a wave of M&A activity in the auto parts sector.

In August, Trim Parts completed a recapitalization for Parts Unlimited Interiors, which supplies automotive interior parts, and Huayu Automotive Systems Co. Ltd. agreed to buy the rest of Yanfeng Visteon Automotive Trim Systems Co. Ltd.
