Sentinel Capital Partners has acquired paper company Nekoosa from Wingate Partners. The deal follows Sentinenl's exit in playground manufacturer PlayCore.

Nekoosa manufactures tapes, paper products, and plastic films, that serves more than 70 thousand commercial printers and graphic designers. The Nekoosa, Wisconsin-based target owns Nekoosa Coated Products, RTape Corp., CET Films, and ClingZ brands. Wingate invested in Nekoosa in 2012.

“In the last five years, we have successfully executed four add-on acquisitions and have developed a playbook for the identification and integration of complementary businesses." Financial terms were not disclosed.

Sentinel is a middle-market private equity firm based in New York. The firm backs businesses with up to $65 million in Ebitda across the aerospace and defense, business services, consumer, distribution, food and restaurants, healthcare and industrial sectors. In 2017, Sentinel sold restaurant chain Checkers Drive-In to Oak Hill.
