Private equity firm Sentinel Capital Partners has closed a $258 million deal for Power Products.

Power Products is the electrical segment of Actuant Corp. (NYSE: ATU). The Menomonee Falls, Wisc.-based company designs, manufactures and distributes branded electrical tools, wiring products and hardware.

New York-based Sentinel invests in lower middle-market companies in the U.S. and Canada. In August, the firm closed its fifth fundwith $1.3 billion in capital commitments. Sentinel is also invested in IEP Technologies, Midwest Wholesale Hardware and Spinrite Inc.
