Rotunda Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in Amware Logistics Services for an undisclosed amount.

Amware provides warehousing and fulfillment services. The company, headquartered in Eagle, Colorado, has more than 2 million square feet of warehouse space in nine facilities.  Amware's president, Vincent Gulisano, will become CEO, and Rotunda operating executive John McAlpin will become COO. McAlpin was previously in logistics roles as senior vice president at BNSF Logistics and vice president of operations of Newgistics.

Washington, D.C.-based private equity firm Rotunda has invested in other logistics companies, including Worldwide Express Inc., which provides air and ground shipping services and Air Express of Chicago Inc., which provides shipping services. In January, Rotunda bought a stake in Discount Ramps LLC

In another recent logistics and warehousing deal, Forward Air Corp. (Nasdaq: FWRD) closed a deal in February for Central States Trucking Co. and Central States Logistics Inc. for $96 million.
