Roper Industries (NYSE: ROP) is buying IPA LLC, a maker of hospital equipment, from Riverside Partners. 

IPA manufactures automated scrub suit and linen dispensing equipment for acute care hospitals. The company is backed by Boston-based private equity firm Riverside Partners. 

Sarasota, Florida-based Roper is a diversified technology company. The group provides engineered products and services for niche markets, including software, medical, water, energy and transportation.

James Clark and Geoff Smith from Harris Williams & Co. advised IPA on the deal. 

Other recent health care deals include Genstar Capital's acquisition of Symmetry Medical Inc. for $450 million, and Graham Partners deal for HemaSource Holdings LLC
