The Riverside Co. has continued an acquisition streak with the purchase of NJoy Baby SL, which it plans to add to portfolio company Baby Jogger.
NJoy, headquartered in Barcelona, makes products for the infant and child space, and is known for its reversible umbrella stroller. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Richmond, Va.-based Baby Jogger, a brand Riverside has owned since April 2012, started making the three-wheeled jogging stroller in 1984. Today, the company makes all-terrain strollers, joggers, bicycle trailers and various accessories.
New York private equity firm Riverside has a portfolio of more than 70 companies. The company has invested in more than 320 deals since it was founded in 1988, and focuses on investing businesses valued at up to $250 million. The firm has made several acquisitions lately, including EcoSmart US LLC, which was added to Eemax Inc., Corporate Training Technologies LLC, which was added to OnCourse Learning, and Rutland Plastics Inc.
