The Riverside Co. has closed a deal for Message On Hold Plus, a marketing messaging company.

Message On Hold, headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, provides on-hold marketing messaging and related services, such as business music, auto attendant prompts and greetings. The company will be added to Riverside-owned Spectrio, which also provides on-hold messaging, as well as digital signage services.

This is the second add-on acquisition for the Oldsmar, Florida-based company, following a deal for Sound Marketing Concepts in March. Riverside initially invested in Spectrio in October 2014.

Riverside was named Mergers & Acquisitions Seller of the Year in our 8th Annual M&A Mid-Market Awards for 2014, after exiting 19 companies. The Cleveland and New York-based firm's recent deals include the purchase of consulting firm Chilton Consulting Group in March, and investment in video surveillance company Pro-Vigil Inc. in February.
