Mergers & Acquisitions names the 2022 Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A, including Proskauer Rose’s Lauren Boglivi.

Describe a recent dealmaking accomplishment.

Representing Hearst Magazines in its sale of the United States edition of Marie Claire, a women’s lifestyle magazine, to Future, a British publisher (announced May 2021). I represented Blade Urban Mobility Inc. in its $825 million de-SPAC business combination with KSL Capital’s SPAC – Experience Investment Corp. This paved the way for Blade becoming the first publicly traded urban air mobility company.

I also advised Discovery on its sale of the Great American Country Network (GAC) to GAC Media, a newly-formed group of U.S.-based investors led by Hicks Equity Partners and multiple U.S.-based family offices (announced June 2021).

How are you advancing the state of women?

I am a sponsor for Proskauer’s Women’s Sponsorship Program (WSP) and on the Women Partners Advisory Committee. The Women’s Sponsorship Program aims to retain our talented midlevel women lawyers by taking an active interest in their careers and providing them with the tools and support to become future leaders. Some highlights of the WSP include carefully matching protégée with sponsor, and a broad-ranging curriculum expanding across management, branding and communication.

The WSP has expanded to include recently elevated women partners and senior counsel emphasizing the firm’s continued commitment to the success of our women leaders. Colleagues fine-tune their business plans with input from their sponsors and participate in workshops and individualized coaching on talent and firm management, managing their networks and maximizing the return on investment on business development activities.
