Private equity firm Pritzker Group Private Capital has acquired packaging company Technimark

Technimark, headquartered in Asheboro, N.C., manufactures custom rigid packaging. The company was backed by Charlottesville, Va.-based private equity firm Quad-C Management, which bought it in 2007.

The target's management team and the family of founder Donald Wellington invested alongside Pritzker Group through the deal, and will continue to lead the company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Chicago-based Pritzker Group focuses on buying North American middle market manufactured products, services and health care businesses. The firm's other investments include AmSafe, Entertainment Cruises and Milestone AV Technologies.

Quad-C focuses on investing in business services, consumer, industrial, health care, and distribution and logistics companies. The firm's recent deals include a November investment in Interwrap, which manufactures materials, and an August investment in Worldwide Express, a logistics company.
