Public relations firm Allison + Partners has acquired Frause, including clients and employees, for an undisclosed amount.

Frause, headquartered in Portland, Oregon, is a public relations firm. The firm's leader, Bob Frause, will transition to an of-counsel role at Allison + Partners. Frause's clients include the Bates Family Foundation, Moss Adams and Talon Private Capital.

For the buyer, the deal adds Portland to the agency's network. The San Francisco-based company has 17 offices and provides communications services to consumer, corporate, health care, public affairs, social impact, technology, beauty, digital media groups. The company's clients have included the Vitamin Shoppe, Dropbox and Julep.

In another recent public relations deal, private equity firm GTCR agreed in June to buy Vocus Inc. a cloud-based public relations and software company, and combine it with Cision, another public relations company.
