Bankrupt airplane catalog SkyMall is turning the page, and has been acquired by C&A Marketing Inc. for $1.9 million.

Phoenix-based SkyMall sells a wide range of merchandise, including quirky products such as a singing gondolier, meant for pools, and Roswell, the Alien Butler, a small alien-shaped table, holding a tray. In addition to the catalog, SkyMall sells products online.

The company filed for bankruptcy protection in January as competition from other companies such as Amazon and EBay increased.

The Ridgefield Park, New Jersey-based buyer manufactures, distributes and resells photographic and consumer electronic equipment. The company has experience with other troubled brands, and owns Polaroid's instant digital imaging products, sports action cameras and other products. C&A was behind the Polaroid Cube, which is a small, high-definition, action camera. The company also owns Ritz Camera & Image, a camera store.
