BDO LLP — The consulting and advisory firm expanded its healthcare unit by naming Patrick Pilch, a former senior leader in healthcare advisory services at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a managing director. Pilch will oversee several initiatives and units of BDO including business strategy, turnaround, interim management and M&A advisory services.
Carl Marks Advisory Group LLC — The consulting and investment banking adviser announced in March three promotions to director: Jon Bushnell, C. Scott Chabina and Jon Roberts. Also, Jonathan Killion was named vice president, while Dave Endo and Matt McInerney were each made associates.
LexPro Research LLC — The Stamford, Conn.-based firm — which provides domestic and international risk mitigation background checks for the financial and legal communities — added Kerry Ann Sullivan as a senior research analyst. Sullivan has 15 years of research and investigative experience, most recently with ESL Investments, a hedge fund, where she spent 13 years conducting pre-investment research and due diligence. Before that, she spent several years managing the research staff at Fox News.
Phoenix Management Services — Colin Gleason joined the Chadds Ford, Pa.-based accounting firm. He comes to Phoenix after having spent the previous four years at PNC Financial Services Group in Pittsburgh, where he most recently served as assistant vice president in PNC’s middle-market lending group.
Providence Equity Partners LLC — The Rhode Island based private-equity firm has reportedly hired Richard Byrne, a former senior Deutsche Bank AG executive. Byrne will be a part of the Providence credit business, which has more than $4.5 billion invested in bonds, secured loans and other debt instruments. He will report to Thomas Gahan, the former CEO of Deutsche Bank Securities who left in 2008 to help launch Providence’s credit business.
William Blair & Co. — The investment banking and asset management firm has opened a new office in Frankfurt, Germany, marking yet another expansion across Europe. Philipp Mohr (above) has been asked to join the firm as a managing director and oversee the expansion efforts in Germany. His title also includes global head of industrials. He most recently served as Commerzbank’s global head of M&A. Joining Mohr in Frankfurt are managing directors Ralf Abele (left) and Alexander Matthes. Abele currently serves William Blair as head of European business services banking in London. He will relocate to join the Frankfurt office. Joining them in Frankfurt are director Simon Baertl and vice president Dirk Felsmann.
