Cantor Fitzgerald LP — The financial advisory firm and parent company of Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. hired Theresa Mozzocci as head of marketing and sales. Previously, she was a principal at Pluscios Management LLC, and, before that, director of marketing at Crestline Investors Inc. Mozzocci will be part of Cantor Fitzgerald Investment Advisors, the company’s asset management business.


Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP — The firm expanded its corporate restructuring group, known as Deloitte CRG, by bringing in Scott Pinsonnault as a director. He is based in Dallas. Pinsonnault is a 17-year investment banking veteran who has worked on various corporate bankruptcies and restructurings within the oil and gas industries.


Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) — Jeffrey Diermeier, former president and chief executive of the CFA Institute, has been elected chairman of the Board of Trustees of the FAF. Diermeier, who has served on the FAF board since 2009, succeeds John Brennan, chairman emeritus of the Vanguard Group. Brennan was elected chairman of the FAF board in February 2009 and will continue to serve on the board for the balance of his five-year term, through December 2013. The FAF also appointed Ann Marie Petach, chief financial officer and senior managing director of investment firm Blackrock Inc., to the board of trustees. Petach’s appointment fills a vacancy on the trustees with a term that extends to December 2014.


McGladrey — The accounting firm promoted three senior professionals in its transaction advisory services group. Tammy Hill (pictured), Patrick Conroy and Stan Macora were each made partners. Hill is a 20-year veteran specializing in deal due diligence across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution and healthcare. Conroy has 17 years of auditing and transaction experience, while Macora has 20 years of experience handling audit services when it comes to mergers in health care, technology, industrial manufacturing and aerospace.


Riveron ConsultingLeigh Ann Schultz (pictured) was named managing director of the firm’s Washington/Virginia office. Previously, she was with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's division of corporation finance. Before that, she was a consultant at AlixPartners.


Robert W. Baird & Co. — The financial services firm added Jonathan Bourn (pictured) to its roster as a managing director. Bourn is part of the Baird’s European investment banking team in London. Prior to joining Baird, Bourn was a partner at AAC Capital where he was responsible for managing a portfolio of companies within AAC’s pan-European fund.


Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP — Former U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald agreed to join the corporate law firm. Fitzgerald will officially become a partner at Skadden's Chicago office on Oct. 29. He will focus on investigations, civil litigation and arbitration. Fitzgerald was appointed by President George W. Bush in 2001 as U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of Illinois. There, he led numerous high-profile investigations and prosecutions, including the conviction of two former Illinois governors – George Ryan and Rod Blagojevich – on corruption charges.


XLA — The private equity-backed government services provider appointed three senior executives to its management team: Douglas Kollme, Joseph Dawson and Deborah Cegielski. Kollme joins as chief financial officer and Dawson as executive vice president of business development. Cegielski was appointed vice president of human capital. She will oversee all employee relations, including hiring and training. McLean, Va.-based XLA, formed in April from the merger of XL Inc. and ALON, is owned by The Halifax Group.
