Annette Alexander has been promoted to partner at Carey Olsen. Alexander, who has been with the firm since 2001, advises private equity firms on fund formation and regulation.


Raed Alfayoumi has been promoted to head of financial sponsors in Opus Bank's (Nasdaq: OPB) merchant banking division. Alfayoumi joined Irvine, California-based Opus earlier in 2016 from MUFG Union Bank will be responsible for maintaining relationships with middle-market private equity firms.


Kate Andrews has been promoted to partner at Carey Olsen. Andrews, who has been with the firm since 2013, concentrates on acquisition financing, including high yield bond issuance.


Vin Batra has joined Duff & Phelps as a managing director in New York. Previously with Alvarez & Marsal Securities and Deloitte Corporate Finance, Batra advises debtors and creditors with in and out-of-court restructurings, financings, and distressed M&A.


Loren Boston was hired by MVision Private Equity Advisers as a managing director in New York. Most recently with Hycroft LLC, Boston has experience in fundraising and alternative investments.


Nikos Buxeda has joined DLA Piper's San Juan office as a partner. Buxeda focuses on M&A and private equity, including debt issuances along with loan financing.


Lisa Campisi has joined Blank Rome LLP as a partner in New York. Previously with Morgan Lewis, Campisi focuses on private equity and M&A in the insurance sector.


Steven Canner was hired by Baker & McKenzie as a partner in New York. Most recently with Kaye Scholer LLP, Canner concentrates on M&A, private equity and venture capital.


Garrett Charon was hired by Ropes & Gray's private equity group as a partner in New York. Previously with Weil Gotshal & Manges, Charon concentrates on M&A and leveraged buyouts.


Marc Chiang has joined Duff & Phelps as a managing director in San Francisco. Most recently with Grant Thornton, Chiang advises clients on due dligence and valuation, particularly in the technology sector.


Larry DeAngelo has joined Houlihan Lokey Inc. (NYSE: HLI) as a managing director in Atlanta. Previously with SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, DeAngelo will co-lead Houlihan’s business services group.


Stan Dennis was named CEO at Scarsdale, New York-based home health care provider National Home Health Care Corp. which is backed by Blue Wolf Capital Partners LLC. Dennis was previously an operating executive at Welsh Carson Anderson and Stowe.


Thomas Gaynor was promoted to managing partner for Nixon Peabody LLP's San Francisco office. Gaynor represents clients in a wide range of industries involving international and domestic transactions.


Heidi Goldstein has been promoted from principal to partner at Wilton, Connecticut-based Altus Capital Partners Inc. Atlus is a middle-market manufacturing focused-private equity firm that is currently investing out of a $200 million fund. Goldstein has been with the firm since 2006.


Adrian Goodisman was hired by Moelis & Co. (NYSE: MC) as a managing director in Houston. Most recently with Scotiabank, Goodisman focuses on the oil and gas sector.


Lance Healy has joined Atlanta-based FD Real Asset Advisors LLC as a managing director. Most recently with Real Asset Capital, Healy focuses on commercial real estate.


Christopher Hetner has been named senior adviser to the chair for cybersecurity policy the Securities and Exchange Commission. Previously with Ernst and Young and GE Capital, Hetner will coordinate the SEC's cybersecurity policy efforts. Cybersecurity has been fueling middle-market M&A.


Steve Hinrichs has joined Monroe Capital’s Los Angeles office as a managing director. Previously with Capital One Business Credit, Hinrichs focuses on originating, structuring and underwriting asset-based financing transactions.


Allan Holt has been named chairman of U.S. Buyout at the Carlyle Group LP (Nasdaq: CG). Holt has been with Carlyle since 1992 and previously served as the firm's head of aerospace and defense and government services groups.


Christopher Kenessey was promoted from president to CEO at Clearlake Capital-backed NetMotion Wireless, a software developer that helps manage wireless data. Clearlake acquired Seattle-based NetMotion in September 2012.


Stephen Kensell has joined Latham & Watkins as a partner in London. Most recently with Allen & Overy, Kensell advises clients on financing related to M&A and Initial Public Offerings. 


Ronald Kornreich has joined Akerman LLP’s Fort Lauderale, Florida office as a partner. Previously with Proskauer Rose, Kornreich focuses on M&A in the hotels and hospitality space.


David Landau has joined Ballard Spahr in New York. Previously with Katten Muchin Rosenman, Landau represents in equity offerings, high-yield debt offerings.


Dan Lenahan has been promoted to managing director at Dallas-based Trive Capital. Lenahan sources and evaluates potential investment opportunities.


Kenneth May was hired as an operating director at San Francisco-based ClearPoint Investment Partners. May is the former CEO Group RCI, which is now known as vacation home rental provider Wyndham Vacation Exchange & Rentals.


Jon McCarter has joined Houlihan Lokey(NYSE: HLI) as a managing director in Houston. Previously with Ernst & Young, McCarter will serve as national energy leader for transaction advisory services. 


Alison Miller has joined Chicago-based Wynnchurch Capital as a director. Previously with Garden City Group, Miller focuses on sourcing new potential investment opportunities.


Dave Morlock was hired by Cain Brothers as a managing director in Chicago. Morlock was previously the CEO of the University of Toledo Medical Center and focuses on M&A among hospitals, physician groups and other medical facilities.


Stefan Muller was hired by Moelis as a managing director in Frankfurt where he will serve as head of investment banking in Germany. Muller was most recently the co-head of investment banking for Germany at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.


Maurice Murphy has joined New York-based Turnspire Capital Partners as an operating partner. Murphy currently serves as the chair of chemicals supplier Avkem International and is also the founder of MWM Global Partners.


Jonathan Nunnaley has been promoted to chief financial officer at Dallas-based Trive Capital. Nunnaley oversees the firm’s fund administration, financial, tax and compliance operations.


Abel Osorio was hired by New York-based Turnspire Capital Partners as a Principal. Osorio most recently Montserrat Capital Management and focuses on leveraged buyouts.


Cathrin Petty was hired by CVC Capital Partners as a partner in London. Previously with JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM), Petty will be the head of CVC's European health care group.


Bob Saada has been promoted to U.S. deals leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Saada advises clients on deal structures and other M&A matters. He was previously PwC’s deals leader in New York and Washington, D.C.




Nitin Sahney has joined Clayton Dubilier & Rice as an operating adviser. Sahney was previously the CEO of pharmaceutical distributor Omnicare Inc., which was sold to CVS Health Corp. (NYSE: CVS) in 2015.


Gabriel Salinas has joined Orrick as a partner in Houston. Most recently with Mayer Brown, Salinas advises clients on M&A in the energy sector with a particular focus on Latin America.


Paul Simpson was hired by by Houlihan Lokey Inc. (NYSE: HLI) as a managing director in London. Previously with Rothschild, Simpson will co-lead Houlihan’s business services group.


José Alberto Sosa-Lloréns has joined DLA Piper's San Juan office as a partner. Sosa-Lloréns concentrates on the banking sector, including M&A, regulation and corporate reorganizations.


John Stang has joined New Canaan, Connecticut-based Gridiron Capital LLC as an operating partner. Stang was most recently the president of materials technology company Morgan Advanced Materials.


Greg Starkins was hired by Moelis as a managing director in New York. Previously with Deutsche Bank, Starkins concentrates on the industrials and aerospace and defense sectors.


Jason Tomita has joined White & Case LLP as a partner in San Francisco. Previously with Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, Tomita focuses on M&A in technology.


Alexander Tracy was hired by Perella Weinberg Partners as a managing director in New York. Previously with Miller Buckfire & Co., Tracy focuses on M&A, financing and Chapter 11 restructurings.


Howard Weiss was named chief financial officer at New York private equity firm Stella Point Capital. Weiss is a former CFO at Castle Harlan. Stella Point focuses on consumer, industrial and business services sectors.


James Willmott has been promoted to partner at Carey Olsen. Willmott, who has been with the firm since 2010, focuses on M&A and private equity.
