Darío Avram has joined Morrison & Foerster as a partner in San Francisco. Most recently with Kirkland & Ellis, Avram concentrates on M&A and private equity.


Michael Benjamin was hired by Latham & Watkins as a partner in New York. Previously with Shearman & Sterling, Benjamin represents investment banks on debt offerings, Initial Public Offerings and leveraged buyouts.


Stéphanie Bensimon has joined Ardian Real Estate as a managing director in Paris. Bensimon was most recently the head of transactions at Invesco Real Estate.


Stuart Brown has joined Boston-based BV Investment Partners as a partner. Most recently with MHT Midspan, Brown will focus on originating new investment opportunities.


Pawan Chaturvedi was hired by Aqueduct Capital Group as head of investments. New Yorked-based Aqueduct helps private equity firms and hedge funds with fundraising. Chaturvedi was previously with UCLA Investment Company.


Tom Duda has joined El Paso, Texas-based Hunt Investment Management as an executive vice president. Duda was previously a managing director at One William Street Capital Management where he oversaw acquisitions, portfolio construction and risk management.


James Gamett has formed private equity investment firm Sweetwater Capital Partners. San Diego-based Sweetwater assists institutional investors with active management of their private equity portfolios. Gamett previously founded health care services company Madison Creek Partners.


Kyle Gann was hired by Jenner & Block as a partner. Previously with Kirkland & Ellis, Gann concentrates on private equity and M&A.


Bernd Haggenm ller was hired by Ardian Real Estate as a managing director in Frankfurt. Haggenm ller was most recently a senior managing director at Shaftesbury Asset Management.


Kari Harris has joined Nixon Peabody’s Boston office as a partner. Previously with Waypoint Capital, Harris represents private equity funds of funds in fundraising and investments.


Jared Hershberg was hired by Reed Smith as a partner in New York. Most recently with Winston & Strawn, Hershberg focuses on private equity and M&A.


Patrick Huard has joined Morrison & Foerster as a partner in San Francisco. Most recently with Kirkland & Ellis, Huard concentrates on M&A and private equity.


Stephen Jacobs has joined New York-based Herrick Feinstein LLP as a partner where he will co-chair the firm’s corporate department. Jacobs was most recently the chief operating officer, general counsel and chief compliance officer at Spectrum Group Management and will remain in those roles for Spectrum.


Jesal Jobalia was hired by Madison Capital as a director on the originations team. Previously with Golub Capital, Jobalia concentrates on middle market private equity relationship management.


Alex Kaufman has joined Morrison & Foerster as a partner in Palo Alto, California. Previously with Kirkland & Ellis, Kaufman focuses on M&A and private equity in the technology and software sectors.


Michael Klein was hired by Harvest Partners as an adviser. Klein is the former CEO of Armored Auto Group and Murray’s Discount Auto. He will help New York-based Harvest identify potential new investments in the auto sector.


Edwin Kwok was hired by O’Melveny as a partner in Hong Kong. Kwok, previously with Paul Hastings, represents Chinese companies in private equity, M&A and IPOs.


Betty Louie has joined Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe as a partner in Rome. Most recently with DLA Piper, Louie concentrates on M&A, specifically Chinese companies that invest in Italy and Europe.


Robert Malone was hired by McLean, Virginia-based Capital One as a managing director in the firm’s technology, media and technology group. Previously with GE Capital’s TMT business, Malone concentrates on structuring financing for sponsored-backed companies in the TMT sector.


Christopher Martin has joined Twin Brook Capital Partners as a managing director. Previously with Madison Capital Funding, Martin focuses on business development and structuring transactions with middle-market private equity sponsors.


Brian Miner was hired by Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP’s Washington, D.C. office as a partner. Previously with Reed Smith, Miner focuses on M&A and private equity in the life sciences, energy and manufacturing sectors.


Pete Notter has joined Twin Brook Capital Partners as a managing director. Previously with Madison Capital Funding, Notter focuses on structuring, underwriting and portfolio management.


Rodolfo Petrosino has joined Ardian Real Estate as a managing director in Milan. Petrosino was previously the chief operating officer at asset managing company IDeA FIMIT SGR.


John Redett was promoted to co-head of Carlyle Group LP’s (Nasdaq: CG) financial services group. Redett, a managing director with Carlyle, was involved with Carlyle’s investment in JenCap Holdings.


Michael Rhea has joined Capital One as a senior vice president. Previously with GE Capital’s TMT group, Rhea concentrates on originating and financing transactions in the TMT sector.


David Scheible was hired by New York-based Clayton Dubilier & Rice as an operating adviser. Scheible served as Graphic Packaging International’s CEO from 2007 to 2016.


Brian Schreiber, has joined the Carlyle Group as co-head of the Washington, D.C.-based firm’s financial services group. Shreiber was with American International Group Inc. (NYSE: AIG) for about 20 years, where he served as chief strategy officer, chief investment officer and global treasurer.


Ray Shu was hired by Capital One (NYSE: COF) as a managing director and head of originations in the technology, media and telecom group. Shu was previously with GE Capital’s TMT business and will focus on providing financing in M&A.


Sara Terheggen has joined Morrison & Foerster as a partner in Palo Alto, California. Most recently with Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, Terheggen focuses on private equity and M&A in the technology, health care, consumer and financial services sectors.
