Private equity-backed Ventures Technologies is merging with Information Systems Consulting Inc. and Strategic Allied Technologies.
Venture Technologies, headquartered in Ridgeland, Mississippi, is an information-technology services group that provides cloud-based services. The company owns and operates data centers in the U.S.
The company is backed by New York private equity firm FlatWorld Capital LLC. FlatWorld invests in middle-market information technology companies.
Information Systems, headquartered in Denver, provides information technology services, including hosting and network analysis. Now that the merger is complete, the combined company will operate three data centers. Birmingham, Alabama-based Strategic Allied Technologies also offers IT services, including design and implementation, security, compliance, disaster recovery and other options.
Ventures Technology says these deals represent the initial transactions of a larger consolidation strategy, and that it is in talks with other organizations.
Monroe Capital LLC funded a $14.3 million credit facility to support the deal.
Other recent technology deals include Mednax's (NYSE: MD) acquisition of billing technology company MedData, and GTCR's formation of Cedar Gate Technologies LLC in connection with former Medco executive David Snow.
