Private equity backed Royal Adhesives & Sealants LLC is picking up Chemque for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition is the company's seventh since it was taken over by private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners in 2010.

Chemque, headquartered in Rexdale, Canada, supplies polyurethane foams and adhesives to the telecommunication, flooring and construction markets. The deal helps Royal continue to build the company. 

South Bend, Indiana-based Royal produces adhesives, sealants, coatings and polymers for the aerospace, construction, packaging, automotive and industrial markets. The company has made several add-on acquisitions under Arsenal's ownership. In July 2013, Arsenal closed a deal to add Adco Global Inc. to Royal. New York-based Arsenal invests in middle market health care and specialty industrial companies. The firm has about $1.7 billion in committed equity capital. The firm closed an $875 million fundin April 2013. Also announced Sept. 2, Arsenal-backed Accella Performance Materials Inc. has acquired Zeus Tyrefill Systems GmbH
