AssuredPartners Inc., a GTCR portfolio company, has acquired Casualty Assurance of Chaska for an undisclosed price.

Chaska, Minnesota-based Casualty Assurance specializes in commercial insurance, employee benefits, and personal insurance, and serves clients throughout that state.

The deal comes just days after AssuredPartners purchased Hukill Hazlett Harrington Agency, a Cincinnati-based insurance agency that specializes in business coverage. Before that, in late September, the Lake Mary, Florida-based company picked up Crawford Advisors LLC, which specializes in employee benefits and compliance services for midmarket and large companies.

One of the most active acquirers in the space is Confie Seguros. Backed by Boston private equity firm Abry Partners, Confie has acquired more than 70 businesses throughout 2014. Most recently, it bought the assets of auto-insurance provider Carallo Insurance Group Inc., and a retail division of home- and commercial-insurance provider PayneWest Insurance.Earlier in October, Confie Seguros bought three brokerages in New York and Washington. In August, the company bought three other brokerages in New York, South Carolina and Texas

Hub International, a Chicago-based insurance company, has also been active lately,  adding assets of Marrs Maddocks & Associates Insurance Services and  acquiring software company Algentis LLC and Peterson Milaney Insurance Associates Inc.
