Private equity-backed AGM Automotive LLC has purchased the assets of Chicago Miniature Lighting LLC for an undisclosed amount.

Chicago Miniature, headquartered in Novi, Michigan, supplies LED lighting to the automotive market. The company offers design, engineering manufacturing, assembly, sequencing and supply of overhead lighting, light pipes, LED ambient lighting and other lighting systems.

Troy, Michigan-based AGM provides interior parts and systems to the automotive market. The company provides interior lighting, overhead console systems, textile flooring sets and electronic components. AGM is owned by private equity firm Trive Capital, which is headquartered in Dallas. Trive is currently investing from a $300 million fund that it raised in 2013.

Trive, in December, combined Coast Plating Inc. and Chrome Plus International Inc. to form Valence Surface Technologies, an aerospace and defense metal processing company. Other recent automotive deals include Huron Capital Partners' purchase of American Auto Auction Group, and Z Capital Partners LLC's purchase of auto parts provider MSD Performance Group
