Owens Corning (NYSE: OC) has picked up Thermafiber Inc. from private equity firm Altus Capital Partners Inc.

Wabash, Ind.-based Thermafiber manufactures insulation products for commercial, industrial and horticultural use. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Owens Corning, headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, makes glass fiber products for heating and acoustic insulation.

Altus invested in Thermafiber in 2007 from its first fund, Altus Capital Partners LP, which launched in 2004. The firm invests in manufacturing companies, including Gulf Coast Machine & Supply Co., Models & Tools Inc. and Rocla Concrete Tie Inc.
