Orchard Holdings Group has purchased private equity-backed Bock & Clark Corp.
Bock & Clark, headquartered in Akron, Ohio, provides commercial real estate due diligence services, including surveys, zoning, environmental and assessment reports in North America.
The company was backed by private equity firm High Street Capital. High Street, based in Chicago, focuses on investing in lower middle-market businesses. The firm invests in business services, distribution and manufacturing companies with between $10 million and $100 million in annual revenue. The group is looking for new investments from its fourth fund, which launched in 2010.
Cincinnati, Ohio-based Orchard is a private investment firm that invests non-institutional, private, family capital in businesses. The group typically invests between $10 million and $40 million in capital per transaction.
Western Reserve Partners LLC acted as financial adviser to Bock & Clark.
Other recent real estate-related transactions include Zillow Inc.'s purchase of Trulia Inc. for $3.5 billion, and Ares Management LP's (NYSE: ARES) deal for London-based real estate developer London Square.
