Omers Private Equity has purchased Caliber Collision Centers.

Caliber Collision provides automotive paint and body repair serves through about 157 collision centers in the western U.S. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Toronto-based Omers manages the private equity assets of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System. The firm makes private equity, real estate, infrastructure, public equity and debt security investments. Omers has about $6 billion invested in the private equity asset class.

The target was backed by private equity firm Oncap, which is the middle market private equity arm of Onex, a PE firm with about $16 billion in assets under management.

Frank Mountcastle, Joe Conner, Jershon Jones, Chris Williams, Chip Duggins and Jay Beekamn from Harris Williams & Co., and BB&T Capital Markets advised Caliber on the deal.
