Atlanta's Navigation Capital Partners named O.G. Greene an operating partner and director of Exeter Finance, a Navigation portfolio company.

Previously, Greene was president of the U.S. operations of Burroughs Corporation, now known as Unisys; chief executive officer of National Data Corporation; chief operations officer of First Financial Management. In addition, he was CEO and co-founder of GridNet International, chairman and CEO of Skylight Financial and CEO of Speer Communications, which is now known as DSM Networks.

In his new position, he will provide support and operating counsel for the firm’s portfolio companies.

Navigation is managed by founders and former managers of Mellon Ventures, the private equity investment subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corporation. Navigation manages about $375 million in capital. The firm invests primarily in lower middle-market niche manufacturing and services businesses in the southeast, mid-Atlantic and midwest United States.
