NCI Inc. (Nasdaq: NCIT) is buying Computech Inc. for $56 million.
Computech, headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, develops software, provides information technology system modernization, portfolio management, maintenance, data strategy, analytics and other services to the Federal Communications Commission, Department of Homeland Security, Executive Office of the President, Internal Revenue Services, U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. International Trade Commission, as well as civilian customers.
Reston, Virginia-based NCI provides information technology and professional services to government agencies and other groups. The Computech deal brings in new customers for NCI.
Other deals for technology used by the government includes Belden Inc.'s (NYSE: BDC) purchase of cybersecurity provider Tripwire for $710 million, and the Riverside Co.'s acquisition of community development service Safebuilt.
