Michelle Eidson is a rising star of middle market deal sourcing.

Eidson recently joined Chicago-based Shorehill Capital LLC to head the private equity firm’s business development and deal sourcing initiatives. Previously, she was the first-ever head of business development at Platte River Equity, a Denver-based PE firm that operates in the middle market, and director of corporate development at digital equipment maker EchoStar Technologies, where she was responsible for sourcing and executing strategic partnerships. Eidson has also held roles at CIBC World Markets, Holden Capital and JP Morgan Chase.

Among Eidson’s biggest accomplishments were two sourcing deals, while at Platte River, that each returned over 4.5x net to the investors, and managing a transaction pipeline of over 650 deals annually.

While at EchoStar, Eidson was instrumental in its Sling Media and Move Networks acquisitions, as well as numerous minority equity investments. Other important deals include Wildcat Minerals and Wellmark.

Eidson is a member of the ACG Denver Advisory Board, the Strategic Advisory Board for G&S Capital, and was the 2017 chair of the Rocky Mountain Corporate Growth Conference and the Capital Roundtable Best Practices for Sourcing Private Equity Investment Opportunities. She has a B.A. in International Studies with a Minor in Economics from Colby College, and an MBA in Finance and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
