Miller Buckfire continues to bolster its strategic advisory group, bringing in Jason Anderson as a managing director. The move follows several notable additions, who arrived this summer and late last year.

Anderson will focus on the industrial and automotive sector. He arrives from Banc of America Securities, where he covered the diversified industrial segment and headed its automotive investment banking team. Before that, he spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs.

Anderson is the fourth senior banker to join Miller Buckfire since late last year. Michael Scott, formerly a senior adviser at the Securities and Exchange Commission, joined this summer, following Goldman veteran David Shiffman and Morgan Stanley's John Orem who each joined in the last 12 months.

Miller Buckfire did suffer one notable defection, as Richard Morgner jumped to Jefferies this past summer.

The firm, a specialist in the distressed space, has seen an influx of new mandates throughout the credit crisis. Most recently, Miller Buckfire has taken on restructuring mandates for Stallion Oilfield Services, Advanstar, Simmons Co., Cygnus Business Media, and Foxwoods Casino owner the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
