Mednax Inc. (NYSE: MD) has acquired Northern Westchester Anesthesia Services PC.

The target is a Mt. Kisco, N.Y.-based physician group that provides services Northern Westchester Hospital, Westchester Health Associates, the Institute of Aesthetic Surgery and Medicine and Westchester Bronx OB/GYN.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The group will be added to Mednax’s American Anesthesiology division, and is the second New York practice to be added. 

Mednax, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based health care company, has been building up its anesthesiology and pediatrics divisions. In July, the company bought a neonatal physician group called Sanjay P. Patel MD PA, and in June, Medax picked up Anesthesia Group of Onondaga PC.
