Swedish pharmaceutical company Meda AB is set to buy Marlborough, Mass.-based Acton Pharmaceuticals Inc. for $135 million.

Acton Pharmaceuticals, which received a $15 million round of financing led by venture capital firm Sequoia Capital in 2010, is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on treating respiratory conditions. It is known for making Aerospan, a medication used to treat asthma.

The deal is expected to close during the fourth quarter of this year.

Meda is headquartered in Solna, Stockholm.
