Lifetime Brands Inc. (Nasdaq: LCUT) has acquired Thomas Plant (Birmingham) Ltd.
Thomas Plant, headquartered in Birmingham, England, supplies kitchenware products and accessories under the Kitchen Craft brand. Under Lifetime, the company will operate as its own division.
Garden City, N.Y.-based Lifetime provides kitchenware, tablewear and other home products under the Farberware, KitchenAid, Guy Fieri, Mikasa, Tuttle and Bombay brands, as well as many others. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In connection with the deal, Lifetime amended and extended a revolving credit facility and entered into a new term loan agreement. A combination of both facilities was used to fund the deal.
Livingstone Partners LLP, Gateley LLP and Ernst & Young LLP advised Lifetime on the deal. Thomas Plant was advised by Clearwater Corporate Finance LLP, Shakespeares Legal LLP and BDO LLP.
Other recent consumer goods deals include Cherokee Inc.’s (Nasdaq: CHKE) deal for the Tony Hawk and Hawk apparel brands, and Trek Bicycle Corp.’s acquisition of Electra Bicycle Co. LLC.
