LexisNexis Group has purchased Sheshunoff and A.S. Pratt from the Thompson Media Group.

Sheshunoff publishes how-to guides and expert information for the financial services industry. A.S. Pratt publishes analytical content for the banking industry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal was facilitated through LexisNexis Legal & Professional, which provides content and technology for legal, corporate, tax, government, academic and other users. The company is part of publisher Reed Elsevier plc (NYSE: RUK), which manages databases, publications and trademarks.

Investment bank Berkery Noyes & Co. LLC advised Thompson on the sale process, with a team led managing director Kathleen Thomas.

In March 2012, LexisNexis acquired Portfolio Media Inc., the parent company of Law360, an online provider of news and analysis geared towards business lawyers.
