Kurion Inc., which provided services to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, is buying Vista Engineering Technologies for an undisclosed amount.

Vista, headquartered in Richland, Wash., provides remote systems, engineering and design and environmental services. The company has provided services for international waste sites, including in Japan and the United Kingdom. 

Irvine, Calif.-based Kurion provides nuclear and hazardous waste management services. The company helped manage the nuclear waste from the Fukushima  Plant in 2011. Kurion has venture capital backing from Lux Capital, Firelake Capital Management and Acadia Woods Partners.
