KSL Capital Partners LLC has acquired Village Urban Resorts from De Vere Group for an undisclosed amount.
Village Urban Resources, headquarered in Warrington, England, has 25 hotel properties in the U.K. and three more in development. The new locations are opening in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Gay Davis, who was previously CEO of British hotels Malmaison and Hotel du Vin, will be CEO of Village Urban Resorts.
KSL, headquartered in Denver, is a private equity firm that focuses on investing in travel and leisure businesses. The firm also has an office in London. KSL owns many other properties, including the Belfry in the West Midlands, in the U.K., and the Miraval Resort, in Tuscon, Arizona. The firm also owns ski resorts Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, in California.
