KPS Capital Partners LP is buying Anchor Glass Container Corp. for an undisclosed amount.
Anchor Glass, headquartered in Tampa, Fla., manufactures glass packaging for the beer, liquor, food and beverage markets. The company has six manufacturing facilities.
"We intend to aggressively grow the Anchor Glass platform both organically and through acquisitions on a global scale," says Jay Bernstein, KPS Partner.
New York private equity firm KPS manages about $6 billion in assets. On April 10, the firm announced it is buying Electrical Components International Inc., a manufacturer of wire harnesses and assembly products. The firm also bought bankrupt Furniture Brands International Inc. in a deal that closed in November.
Anchor Glass was sold Ardagh Holdings USA Inc., an Irish packaging manufacturing company.
