Funds advised by KKR Asset Management LLC are picking up a minority stake in PT Tiga Pilar Sejahtera Food Tbk for an undisclosed amount.

PT Tiga is a food manufacturing, rice processing and distribution and palm oil company, controlled by TPS Group. Java, Indonesia-based TPS makes Indonesian brands Taro Snack, Mie Kremezz, Ayam Dua Telor, Superior, Tanam Jagung, Gulas Candy and Ayam Jago Rice.

After the deal closes KKR will be the company’s second largest shareholder.

Rabobank International Singapore Branch and PT Rothschild Indonesia acted as financial advisers to TPS for the deal.

KKR Asset Management was launched by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & CO. (NYSE: KKR) in 2004 to invest on behalf of managed funds. The group has about $27.9 billion in assets under management.

New York private equity firm KKR was founded in 1976 by Henry Kravis and George Roberts, and has about $78.3 billion in assets under management.
