Kindred Healthcare Inc. (NYSE: KND) has closed a deal for two nursing centers for $22 million.

Louisville, Ky.-based Kindred was leasing the facilities, which are located in Loudon, Tenn., and Maryville, Tenn., from HCP Inc. (NYSE: HCP). The company previously bought seven nursing centers that it had leased from HCP for about $61 million.

Kindred has been involved in several M&A transactions lately. In September, the health care company sold 16 facilities to Vibra Healthcare LLC for about $187 million, since those buildings were outside of the company’s core integrated care markets.

In December, Kindred closed a deal for Senior Home Care Inc., a home health care company that provides services in Florida and Louisiana.
