The Jordan Co. has acquired two private equity-backed companies: Drew Marine and ACR Electronics Inc.

Drew Marine makes chemicals and provides safety services to the international maritime and offshore markets.

ACR Electronics provides safety and survival solutions, including emergency rescue beacons and signaling lights to the aviation, marine, military and outdoor recreation markets. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The target was backed by J.F. Lehman & Co. The private equity firm focuses on middle market maritime, defense and aerospace companies. J.F. Lehman made two add-on acquisitions to Drew Marine after it invested in 2009.

Jordan is a New York private equity firm that has about $5 billion in committed capital under management. The firm’s investments include American Fast Freight Inc., Pro Mach Group Inc. and Watchfire Signs, which it invested in in October. 

Evercore Group LLC and Rothschild Inc. served as J.F. Lehman’s financial advisers, while Jones Day provided legal counsel.

Mayer Brown provided legal advice to Jordan.
