J.H. Whitney Capital Partners LLC has acquired Stevens Manufacturing Co. Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

Milford, Connecticut-based Stevens supplies precision parts to the aerospace industry.

J.H. Whitney, headquartered in New Canaan, Connecticut, is currently investing from its seventh fund. The transaction was announced Aug. 20. In June, J.H. Whitney agreed to buy C.J. Foods Inc., which provides manufacturing services to pet food companies. Before that, in March, the firm sold Igloo Coolers to Acon Investments LLC

Matrix Capital Markets Group Inc. served as Stevens' financial adviser on the deal.

There have been several deals recently for aerospace parts and services companies. Earlier in August, Valence Technologies, a Trive Capital-backed aerospace services company, acquired Pride Plating, Dynamic Paint Solutions and Coastline Metal Finishing.  Also in August, Vance Street Capital acquired Eirtech Aviation to add to Leading Edge Aviation Services Inc. and Associated Painters Inc., combining the groups to create International Aerospace Coatings Holdings LP.
